Legal notice
Last updated: October 2026.
1. Publisher
The website acme-legal.ch is published by ACME Legal, Quai Gustave-Ador 42, CH - 1207 Geneva, Switzerland. Contact: info@acme-legal.ch and +41 26 322 49 20. Supervisory authority: Geneva Bar Association, registered in the cantonal lawyers' register underGeneva Bar Association.
2. Hosting and data location
The website and its data are hosted exclusively in Switzerland, on infrastructure operated by the firm (on-premise). No cloud hosting, no hosting subcontractor abroad, no replication outside Switzerland. Backups are kept in Switzerland and access is restricted to authorised staff.
3. Personal data and purposes
The following processing operations take place:
- data submitted through the contact form or by email (name, email address, message content), in order to reply to the enquiry;
- technical logs (IP address, date, requested page), to ensure the security and operation of the site;
- a session cookie, solely for access to the administration area.
Legal bases: legitimate interest in operating and securing the site, pre-contractual measures or performance of the mandate, consent where required. Retention: logs 12 months, enquiries 3 years after closure, mandate files according to applicable statutory obligations.
4. Cookies
The site uses no analytics, advertising or social network cookies. A single technical session cookie is set after signing in to the administration area; it is strictly necessary for operation and therefore does not require consent. No profiling, no third-party trackers.
5. Fonts
The site loads the Nunito typeface from Google Fonts servers. That request transmits your IP address to Google Ireland Limited and may involve processing in the United States. No other third-party resource is loaded.
6. Email and contact form: facts and risks
Email and the contact form are convenient, but they have limits you should know about:
- messages travel over networks the firm does not control; end-to-end encryption (opportunistic TLS) is not guaranteed;
- messages are stored unencrypted on the relevant mail servers;
- a wrong address may disclose the message to a third party;
- sending a message creates neither a mandate nor an attorney-client relationship, and does not suspend any deadline;
- sensitive data (health, criminal proceedings, family law) should not be sent through these channels.
For confidential or urgent matters, contact the firm by telephone first, then agree on a secure channel or an appointment.
7. Your rights
Under the Swiss FADP and, where applicable, the GDPR, you have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection and data portability, as well as the right to withdraw consent. Requests should be made in writing to [email address]. You may lodge a complaint with the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC) or with the competent supervisory authority in the European Union.
8. Security
The site uses TLS, security headers, access control for the administration area, logging and regular backups. As no system is infallible, the firm cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. Intellectual property
The texts, logo, structure and graphic elements of the site are protected. Any reproduction or reuse without prior written consent is prohibited.
10. Governing law
Swiss law applies. The place of jurisdiction is the firm's registered office, subject to mandatory consumer protection provisions.
